Introduction

In this article, we will go over the process of creating a sub-account and allocating it to a service in the Hostico customer account for billing purposes.

Requirements

  • A valid subcontract
  • An active service in the Hostico client account

Steps

After logging into the Hostico client account, go to the right side to the User section.
In the opened page, scroll down to the Associated Contacts section, then create a sub-contact by clicking the New Contact button.

Note: If there are already valid subcontacts in the Hostico client account, the steps for creating a subcontact can be omitted

Fill in the fields displayed as needed (individual or legal entity) after which consult the section Correspondence and Permissions for additional settings. The entered data must be correct/real, otherwise the subcontract will not be validated, which will lead to the impossibility of allocation to a service.

Important! To configure billing notifications, in the Correspondence section, check the Financial field, which will automatically open two additional checkboxes:

  • Isolated - Financial notifications will be sent only for the service to which the subcontract has been allocated
  • Global - Financial notifications will be sent for all services held in the account

After ensuring that the subcontract is configured correctly, you will either go to the Services section (for hosting packages) or the Domains section.
The desired service will be opened, after which in the Actions menu on the right, the Billing Contact
option will be selected.

Note: If there is no subcontract allocated to the service, the message "Disabled" will be displayed

Upon opening the window, the desired contact will be selected and the action will be confirmed by the "Yes" button

Note: If you want to modify the subcontract, you can choose another contact, after which we confirm the procedure.
For situations where we want to remove the contact from the service, the Reset option will be selected.

Note

  • Services that have billing on the same due date, but have different subcontracting, will receive individual invoices for each service separately
  • After assigning a subcontract to a service, the status will be changed to "Pending", and after the data is validated by the sales department, the status will be changed to "Active"
