Reactivation of hosting packages
In the following, we will review all the information regarding the reactivation procedure of hosting packages from the Hostico client account.
Each of us has faced the situation where we couldn't make a payment for various reasons, and our services have been suspended. Reactivation, in most cases, involves contacting the support team, and if they do not offer phone or live chat support, the only remaining solution is email, which, depending on the team's responsiveness, may bring a faster resolution or not.
Next, we will go through the necessary steps to reactivate the hosting package from the Hostico client account.
The first thing we need to do is to make sure we are logged into the correct client account where the suspended service is located.
After that, we go to the left side to the section „Services” and access the suspended service in the account that we want to reactivate.
If I have accessed the service correctly, all the options in the panel will be monochrome (greyed out), except for the section at the top of the page.
To initiate the reactivation process, we will click on the green button „Temporary Reactivation”.
Note: If the reactivation of the package is not possible (for various reasons), the notification at the top of the page will not be present, and reactivation will be impossible to achieve.
If the process was successful, we will be greeted with a confirmation message, and after refreshing the page, all functionalities of the hosting package will become active again.
Note:
- By default, hosting services are automatically kept active for a period of 7 days after the due date. Reactivation of the package can be requested for an additional 7 days, totaling a grace period of 14 days from the due date.
- Reactivation of services is only possible after a period of 90 days. If you have requested a previous reactivation within the last 90 days, reactivation will not be possible by you or by a Hostico operator.
- In the case of services suspended for other reasons, such as violation of Hostico's terms and conditions, reactivation from the client interface is not possible.
- Reactivating a closed hosting package is not possible. If you had a hosting package that was deleted from Hostico's servers, you will either need to place a hosting order for a new service (if the old files are not of interest), or contact the support team to check if there is a possibility of restoring the old files.
- If you have not requested a reactivation in the last 90 days, and the reactivation button is not present, you will need to contact the sales department to check the situation presented.
