What is safelisting?
Safelisting (also known as Whitelisting) is a process used in the web industry to add certain email addresses to the mailboxes' address books. This process is essential to increase the chances that all emails sent from a specific address will reach your inbox, avoiding unpleasant situations where you miss important messages.
Popular platforms for safelisting
Below are the detailed steps for adding an email box to your contacts on different platforms:
Gmail
1. Log in to your Gmail account.
2. Select the email you want to add to your contacts.
3. Hover over the email address and click on the "+" icon.
Yahoo
1. Access the email that contains the address you want to add.
2. Hover over the address and click on "Add to Contacts".
Outlook
1. Access the settings section at the top of the window and click on "View all Outlook settings".
2. In the opened window, navigate to Mail -> Junk email.
3. Under the section "Safe senders and domains", click on "+ Add" and enter the desired address.
Thunderbird
1. Access the "Address Book" button.
2. On the right side, select the "Personal Address Book" section and click on "New Contact".
3. Fill in the contact information and confirm by clicking the "Ok" button.
Roundcube (Webmail)
1. Access your email.
2. Click on the email address, then select "Add to Address Book".
Horde (Webmail)
1. Open the received email.
