Introduction

• The FTP Accounts interface is used to create and manage FTP accounts.

• FTP (File Transfer Protocol) or File Transfer Protocol (FTP) accounts are used to manage files on the website.

Requirement

• Login details in cPanel

Steps

• We will identify ourselves in the administration panel

• After logging in to the cPanel control panel, in the interface that will be displayed, look for the "FILES" section and there we will select "FTP Accounts"

• To create a new account, enter the desired username in the "Log In" field and a password of your choice in the "Password" field

• If we have more than one domain in the account, we select the desired domain to the right of the user.

In the "Directory" field, fill in the path where we want the newly created user to have access

• We can allocate a certain maximum space quota for the created user from the "Quota" field or it can be set without limit after selecting the "Create FTP Account" button

• After creating the FTP account, we have the option to configure the FTP client - by clicking on Configure FTP Client.

• From here we can download and install the file transfer programs “CoreFTP” for Windows or “Cyberduck” for Mac OS with which we can connect to the server
